Deepinder Goyal, the founder and CEO of Eternal, the parent company of Zomato, has sparked excitement with a sneak peek of his latest invention, Temple—a device designed to monitor brain blood flow. In an Instagram post, Goyal shared an image of the small golden gadget affixed to his right temple, accompanied by the intriguing caption, "Getting there." Goyal previously elaborated on Temple in a LinkedIn response, describing it as an "experimental device to calculate Brain Flow accurately, in real-time, and continuously." This innovation stems from his exploration of the Gravity Ageing Hypothesis, a concept he introduced last month, which posits the intriguing idea that gravity might play a direct role in human aging. In his posts, Goyal expressed his thoughts not just as a CEO but as a curious individual exploring a unique perspective. He referenced the insights of Newton and Einstein, suggesting that gravity could potentially shorten human lifespan. Goyal connects multiple established theories: the slight reduction in brain blood flow when standing, the hypothalamus and brainstem's sensitivity to even minor circulation changes, and their crucial role in aging regulation. Having utilized the device for a year, Goyal is optimistic about its potential as a vital health tool. He stated, "I’ve been feeling that this could shape into an important wearable the world needs. Brain Flow is already well-accepted as a biomarker for aging, longevity, and cognition. Therefore, this device holds relevance, even if the Gravity Ageing Hypothesis is proven incorrect."
