YouTube has recently terminated two prominent channels that gained massive followings by posting AI-generated movie trailers, which often misled viewers into believing these projects were genuine. The channels, known as Screen Culture and KH Studio, amassed over 2 million subscribers collectively, creating a stir within the YouTube community as their fabricated trailers gained traction. These channels produced alluring titles such as "GTA: San Andreas (2025) Teaser Trailer" and "Malcom In The Middle Reboot (2025) First Trailer," despite the fact that these films were entirely fictional. Their popularity sparked concern among other creators who voiced grievances regarding the channels' rapid rise in the AI content space. In response to growing complaints, YouTube took measures in early 2025 to demonetize the channels, which prompted them to include disclaimers indicating that their content was not official trailers. Although they regained the ability to monetize their videos, the application of these disclaimers was inconsistent, leading to many high-traffic videos being released without proper labeling as parodies or concepts. As of now, attempts to access either channel on YouTube result in an error message stating, "This page isn’t available. Sorry about that. Try searching for something else," marking the end of an era for these once-popular content creators.
