Xiaomi has officially announced that its highly anticipated software upgrade, HyperOS 3, based on Android 16, will soon be available in India. This news has generated excitement among users of Xiaomi, Redmi, and Poco devices who have been eagerly awaiting details about this significant software transformation. Although Xiaomi has yet to reveal a specific timeline for the rollout, the confirmation suggests that a broad array of devices will soon benefit from enhanced performance and AI capabilities. In a recent update on social media platform X, the company described HyperOS 3 as faster, smarter, and more seamless, yet it has not disclosed the complete list of devices that will be eligible for this update in India. More detailed information is expected to emerge in the coming weeks. Originally unveiled in China in September, HyperOS 3 made its debut on the flagship Xiaomi 17 series. Its introduction to the Indian market marks a significant expansion for the Android 16-based interface. A key feature of this update is HyperIsland, which resembles Apple’s Dynamic Island. This feature acts as a centralized hub for notifications, live activity updates, and battery information, allowing users to manage tasks like music playback and call details with ease. The update also includes Xiaomi’s HyperAI suite, designed to enhance on-device intelligence for everyday tasks. This suite features smart screen recognition, DeepThink for advanced reasoning, and improved writing tools that can modify tone or style as needed. Additionally, the AI Speech Recognition technology promises clearer audio, real-time transcriptions, and automatic summaries. Users will benefit from AI Search, which efficiently scans device content to deliver succinct answers, while Gallery Search organizes photos into ten categories for easier access. Visual personalization has also been upgraded with AI Dynamic Wallpapers and a revamped cinematic lock screen. HyperOS 3 began its rollout in China in October, with devices like the Xiaomi 15T Pro, Xiaomi 15T, Watch S4 (41 mm), and Smart Band 10 already preloaded with the new software. The rollout continued through October and November for other models including the Xiaomi 15 series, Mix Flip, Redmi Note 14 series, Poco F7, Poco X7, Pad Mini, and Pad Mini 7. According to Xiaomi's roadmap, additional models such as the Xiaomi 14 series, Redmi Note 13 Pro, Redmi 15, and Redmi 14C are expected to receive the update by the end of the year, while older devices like the Xiaomi 13 series and Redmi Pad Pro 5G will gain access by March 2026.
