Elon Musk-owned X suffers outage in India, thousands report access issues

The social media platform X, which is under the ownership of Elon Musk, encountered significant access problems on March 18. Many users across India reported difficulties in refreshing their feeds and accessing shared links, as noted by outage-tracking service Downdetector. At the peak of the outage, Downdetector recorded nearly 4,586 reports from users in India alone by 8:49 PM. The specific reasons behind these disruptions have yet to be determined. Data revealed that approximately 52% of users experienced problems with the mobile app, while 38% faced issues on the website, and 10% reported difficulties with their feed or timeline. Moreover, the outage was not limited to India; users in the United States also experienced similar issues, with nearly 28,000 outage reports logged by 8:45 PM, indicating a potential global impact. This situation is still developing, with users eagerly awaiting updates on the resolution of these access difficulties.
