Under the direction of Elon Musk, X has unveiled an exciting new feature known as the Certified Bangers badge. This initiative aims to highlight the most outstanding posts each month, selected based on genuine user interactions. According to the company's announcement, they intend to honor content that resonates with users, whether it brings laughter, sparks thought, or ignites conversation. The Banger badge will be awarded to five posts each month, reflecting a combination of authentic interactions such as verified impressions, likes, bookmarks, reposts, and replies. Once a post earns this distinction, the badge will be visible on the owner's profile for one month. Currently, the feature is in its testing phase, and details about the specific benefits associated with the Banger badge remain undisclosed. However, X has previously indicated that users who receive the verified badge through a subscription gain enhanced access compared to standard users. To qualify for the Banger badge, accounts must be personal rather than affiliated with businesses, political organizations, or government entities. Furthermore, they must be in “good standing,” meaning they should not have a history of significant violations of X’s policies. Importantly, there are no follower or engagement requirements for eligibility. However, X emphasizes that only accounts that do not attempt to manipulate the platform's systems will be considered. To be eligible for the Banger badge, posts must adhere to specific guidelines: they should feature original content, refrain from including sexually explicit material, advertisements, misleading or abusive content, graphic messages, or violence. Initially, the Banger badge feature will be rolled out for posts in English, with plans for expansion to other languages in the future.
