On Tuesday, X unveiled a significant rebranding of its Verified Organizations program, which serves as a premium subscription model for businesses and governmental entities. This initiative now distinguishes between two new categories: Premium Business and Premium Organizations. The Premium Organizations tier, marked by a grey checkmark, is tailored specifically for governments and multilateral entities. In contrast, the Premium Business tier, highlighted with a gold checkmark, aims to empower businesses of all sizes—from startups to large corporations—to enhance their growth on the platform. The Premium Business offering introduces a suite of tools designed to facilitate organizational scaling. Users can choose from three subscription levels: Basic, Full Access, and Enterprise. According to X, the Premium Business subscription will not only improve credibility with the gold checkmark but also enhance visibility through affiliate badges. Additional features include advanced impersonation defense tools and expedited human support for swift issue resolution. Furthermore, Premium Business subscribers will gain access to tools for recruitment, real-time monitoring of brand and industry trends, and the innovative SuperGrok feature. Notably, X plans to roll out priority handles for these subscribers, allowing access to a marketplace for acquiring valuable inactive handles. In an email to TechCrunch, the company stated that basic priority handles would be offered for free, while more sought-after handles would be available for purchase. Pricing for the Premium Business Basic package starts at $200 per month, providing essential features for establishing a business presence on X. The Full Access tier is priced at $1,000 monthly, adding benefits like affiliate support and early access to new features. The Enterprise tier is tailored with advanced management tools and personalized support, with pricing determined on a custom basis. Meanwhile, the Premium Organizations plan is available for $1,000 per month, with a promotional offer of 100% of the subscription cost returned as advertising credits. Seth Fuchs from X Engineering emphasized the platform's role as a vital space for organizations to amplify their influence and connect directly with key audiences. "X is the best place to grow your organization’s influence and speak directly to the people who matter," he stated, highlighting the company's commitment to supporting organizations in navigating the evolving digital landscape. This new tiered approach is seen as a strategic move by X to increase revenue amidst ongoing challenges in its advertising sector.
