AI data startup WisdomAI has raised another $50M, led by Kleiner, Nvidia

WisdomAI, the cutting-edge startup co-founded by Soham Mazumdar, has successfully raised $50 million in a Series A funding round. This investment, spearheaded by Kleiner Perkins, also saw contributions from NVentures, the venture capital arm of Nvidia. This funding comes just six months after the company secured $23 million in seed funding from Coatue. The startup specializes in AI-powered data analytics, allowing businesses to glean insights from structured, unstructured, and even 'dirty' data, which refers to data that contains errors or typos. Users can pose questions in natural language, such as, "How many customers do I have in my pipeline and what’s preventing them from closing this quarter?" WisdomAI has developed a unique approach to mitigate the common issue of LLM hallucinations by using large language models solely for query formulation. In this way, if the LLM produces a faulty query, it does not generate misleading answers. Central to WisdomAI’s technology is its proprietary “enterprise context layer,” which analyzes customer data to enhance understanding. The leadership team comprises experienced professionals who previously collaborated with Mazumdar at the data security firm Rubrik, where he departed in 2023. Since its official launch in late 2024, WisdomAI has expanded its client base from two to approximately 40 enterprise customers, including notable names like Descope, ConocoPhillips, Cisco, and Patreon. Mazumdar noted a significant increase in product utilization among clients, with some reporting a doubling of usage within just two months. One customer expanded their initial usage from 10 to 450 seats, encompassing nearly the entire workforce. Recently, WisdomAI introduced an agentic feature that notifies users in real-time about significant changes in monitored situations. According to Mazumdar, he was able to create this agent in about five minutes, emphasizing its ability to provide alerts only when noteworthy events occur, rather than inundating users with frequent reports. He remarked, "We are transforming analytics from static reports into a dynamic, proactive tool that enhances decision-making."
