OpenAI’s ChatGPT is currently experiencing a significant outage, leaving countless users unable to access the popular chatbot. Reports indicate that the platform is largely unresponsive, with many users encountering error messages instead of the expected chatbot interactions. As the issue persists, users have flooded platforms with complaints, detailing their difficulties. While the website itself is accessible, the chatbot fails to respond to queries, displaying messages such as: "Hmm...something seems to have gone wrong." Others reported receiving notifications like, "A network error occurred. Please check your connection and try again. If this issue persists, please contact us through our help center at help.openai.com." OpenAI has recognized the problem via its status page, which indicates that both ChatGPT and its text-to-video tool, Sora, are affected. Monitoring service Down Detector has also reported a sharp increase in outage reports related to OpenAI services. As of now, there has been no official update from OpenAI regarding the timeline for restoring access to the chatbot, leaving users in limbo.
