WhatsApp rolls out new group chat features, including member tags

WhatsApp has announced exciting new updates aimed at enhancing the group chat experience. This latest rollout introduces features such as member tags, customizable text stickers, and event reminders. With the new member tags, users can assign personalized identifiers that provide clarity about their roles within the group. For instance, someone might be identified as "Anna’s Dad" in one chat, while they could be recognized as "Goalkeeper" in another, fostering better communication among participants. Additionally, the introduction of text stickers allows users to transform any word into a sticker simply by entering it into the Sticker Search. This feature enhances creativity, enabling users to add these custom stickers directly to their sticker packs without needing to send them in a chat first. The event reminders feature is another great addition, allowing group administrators to set specific reminders for invitees when creating and sharing events. These enhancements come as WhatsApp continues to improve its group chat functionalities, which already include options for sharing large files up to 2GB, sending high-definition media, screen sharing, and voice chats.
