WhatsApp is set to enhance its user interface on iPhones by incorporating Apple's Liquid Glass design as part of its latest update, which is beginning to roll out to selected iOS users. Following the introduction of iOS 26 last month, which showcased the Liquid Glass UI across various system features, speculation about WhatsApp adopting similar design elements has been circulating. While Meta has not officially announced the deployment of this new aesthetic within WhatsApp, numerous users have taken to social media to share their experiences of the revamped interface. According to a report from WABetaInfo, the Liquid Glass design is now being made available to stable users through WhatsApp for iOS version 25.28.75, with wider access expected in the upcoming weeks. This update introduces dynamic transparency, depth effects, and fluid interactions that are in harmony with the overall look of iOS 26. One of the most striking changes is the newly redesigned semi-transparent bottom navigation bar, which now incorporates a soft blue hue behind the content, creating an impression of depth and layering. Additionally, each icon within this navigation bar responds with smooth animations when tapped, enhancing the app’s interactivity. The Liquid Glass aesthetic extends beyond the navigation bar, with other system tools such as the context menu and keyboard also receiving a makeover. WhatsApp has integrated the native iOS keyboard, which features a translucent and reflective design that complements the updated interface. This keyboard provides a consistent visual experience, with keys that subtly interact with background elements to enhance the perception of depth. Moreover, various buttons within the app have been redesigned to align with the Liquid Glass theme, offering a modern visual appeal and smooth animations that respond fluidly to user interactions. As users explore these enhancements, they can also look forward to upcoming details about the anticipated iPhone 17, including its price, features, and launch date for the Pro and Pro Max models.
