Vivo V60 India launch tipped for August 19; Key specs and renders leaked

Vivo is preparing to launch the V60 smartphone in India on August 19, following the success of its V50 model. Anticipation is building as several leaks have surfaced, providing insights into the device's specifications, color options, and design before its official announcement. Industry insider Yogesh Brar (@heyitsyogesh) has indicated that the Vivo V60 will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset, representing a significant upgrade from the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 found in the V50. The new model is expected to feature a robust 6,500mAh battery, with reports suggesting support for 90W fast charging, as indicated by recent listings from TUV and SIRIM. In line with Vivo's reputation for strong photography capabilities, the V60 is rumored to include a main camera with a resolution of 50MP, although the full camera specifications are yet to be confirmed. Leaked images depict a stylish triple rear camera arrangement housed within a pill-shaped module, along with an additional lens and LED flash. Aesthetic choices for the Vivo V60 are also noteworthy, as it may be available in three attractive colors: Mist Grey, Moonlit Blue, and Auspicious Gold, enhancing its premium look. Furthermore, speculation suggests that Vivo could debut OriginOS, its custom Android 16-based interface, in India alongside the V60, providing a fresh alternative to the existing Funtouch OS. The upcoming V60 is poised to offer numerous improvements over the V50, which launched in India earlier this year. The V50 features a 6.77-inch quad-curved AMOLED display with full-HD+ resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and peak brightness reaching 4,500 nits, powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 SoC and a 6,000mAh battery with 90W fast charging capabilities. It also sports a dual rear camera setup comprising a 50MP main and a 50MP ultrawide lens, along with a 50MP front-facing camera. Stay tuned for updates as the launch approaches.
