Vivo V60 5G confirmed to launch in India on 12th August: What to expect?

Vivo has officially announced the launch of its photography-centric Vivo V60 smartphone in India, scheduled for August 12 at 12 noon. This device will succeed the Vivo V50, which also made its debut earlier this year. The Vivo V60 5G will be available in three distinct color variants: Mist Gray, Moonlit Blue, and Auspicious Gold. Its design is in line with the signature aesthetics of Vivo's V series, showcasing a curved back and a pill-shaped camera module that boasts ZEISS branding. Notably, an Aura Light feature, reminiscent of earlier models, is indicated by a prominent round ring on the right side of the camera island. The device will feature a quad-curved display and is rated IP68 and IP69 for water and dust resistance. In a significant upgrade, the Vivo V60 will be powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset, moving away from the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 SoC used in previous models, and it will support up to 12GB of RAM. With a robust 6,500mAh battery, the V60 is expected to support 90W fast charging capabilities. It will operate on Vivo's FunTouchOS 15, based on Android 15. In terms of camera capabilities, the V60 will feature a triple-camera setup, all sporting ZEISS branding. This includes a 50MP Sony IMX766 primary shooter with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS), a 50MP Sony IMX882 telephoto lens also equipped with OIS, and an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens. For selfies, the front camera will be a 50MP shooter with support for a wide 92° angle. Rumored specifications suggest that the phone may sport a 6.67-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 1600 nits. It is expected to come with LPDDR4x RAM and UFS 2.2 storage options. As for pricing, the Vivo V60 is anticipated to be priced similarly to its predecessor, ranging from approximately ₹35,000 to ₹45,000.
