Tomorrow marks a significant day for smartphone enthusiasts in India as Vivo prepares to launch its flagship X300 and X300 Pro models. Scheduled for December 2, the unveiling will take place at 12 PM IST, streamed live on the company’s official YouTube channel. The event is expected to attract considerable attention, especially with the new devices poised to compete against formidable rivals like the Oppo X9 series, OnePlus 15, and iQOO 15. Both models will be powered by the cutting-edge MediaTek Dimensity 9500 processor, aimed at challenging the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip found in the aforementioned competitors. Notably, the X300 boasts a remarkable 200 MP primary camera, while the Pro variant features a 200 MP telephoto lens, marking a significant upgrade in Vivo's camera technology. The X300 series will run on the latest OriginOS 6 based on Android 16, moving away from the previous FuntouchOS. Having already been launched in China and other markets, these devices come with expectations based on their international reception. The standard X300 features a 6.31-inch 1.5K LTPO AMOLED display with an impressive peak brightness of 4,500 nits, complemented by Armour Glass for added durability and 2160 Hz PWM dimming to reduce eye strain during low-light conditions. In comparison, the X300 Pro is equipped with a larger 6.78-inch 1.5K LTPO AMOLED display, maintaining the same peak brightness and PWM dimming specifications. Both models are designed to withstand the elements, boasting IP68 and IP69 ratings for water and dust resistance, ensuring protection against immersion in water up to 1.5 meters for 30 minutes. In terms of camera features, the X300's triple-camera setup includes a 200 MP Samsung HPB primary shooter, a 50 MP ultra-wide angle lens, and a 50 MP periscope telephoto lens, alongside a 50 MP front-facing camera. Meanwhile, the X300 Pro is outfitted with a 50 MP Sony LYT828 primary shooter, a 20 MP ultra-wide angle lens, and the impressive 200 MP Samsung HPB periscope telephoto lens, also featuring a 50 MP front camera for selfies and video calls. Power-wise, the X300 is equipped with a robust 6,040 mAh battery, while the Pro variant boasts a 6,510 mAh battery. Both models support 90 W wired fast charging and 40 W wireless charging capabilities. Early leaks suggest that the X300's starting price might hover around ₹75,000, aligning it with the likes of the OnePlus 15 and iQOO 15, while the Pro variant might be priced around ₹1,10,000, placing it in the same range as the Oppo X9 Pro. However, official pricing will only be confirmed post-launch. Stay tuned for all the latest updates from the launch event.
