Vivo Y400 5G with 6.67-inch AMOLED display, 6,000 mAh battery launched in India

Vivo has officially introduced its latest mid-tier smartphone, the Y400 5G, in India, with an entry price of ₹21,999. This launch follows closely on the heels of the Y400 Pro's debut, as the company prepares to unveil its V60 series later this month. The Y400 5G is available in two configurations: the 8GB RAM/128GB storage variant priced at ₹21,999, and the 8GB RAM/256GB storage model at ₹23,999. Customers can choose between two stylish color options, Glam White and Olive Green. The phone is set to hit the market on August 7, and will be accessible through Vivo's website, as well as major online platforms like Flipkart and Amazon, along with various retail partners. This device boasts a stunning 6.67-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display, featuring a 120Hz refresh rate and an impressive peak brightness of 1800 nits. With IP68 and IP69 ratings, the Y400 5G is designed to withstand water and dust, capable of enduring submersion in water up to 1.5 meters for 30 minutes, and resisting water jets from any direction. Under the hood, the smartphone is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 processor, which is also found in other budget-friendly devices like the Lava Blaze Dragon and Poco M7. Users can expect robust performance with support for 8GB of RAM and two storage options of either 128GB or 256GB. Photography enthusiasts will appreciate the Y400 5G's camera setup, featuring a Sony IMX852 primary sensor paired with a 2MP bokeh lens, along with a 32MP front-facing camera for selfies and video calls. The device is equipped with a hefty 6,000mAh battery that supports 90W wired fast charging, promising to recharge from 1% to 50% in just 20 minutes. Running on Funtouch OS 15 based on Android 15, the Y400 5G also comes with a commitment from Vivo for a '50-month smooth experience optimization,' although the specifics of the update cycle remain unconfirmed. Stay tuned for more updates on this exciting release and other technology news.
