iQOO 15 full specifications leaked ahead of launch: here's what to expect

The highly anticipated iQOO 15 is set to launch in China on Monday, poised to compete with other flagship devices such as the OnePlus 15, Realme GT 8 Pro, and Oppo Find X9. Ahead of its official unveiling, well-known tipster Digital Chat Station (DCS) has shared critical specifications on Weibo, providing insights into what users can expect from this cutting-edge smartphone. The iQOO 15 is rumored to feature an impressive 6.85-inch 2K+ 144Hz LTPO OLED display, utilizing Samsung's M14 luminous material. The device promises an impressive manual full-screen brightness of 1,000 nits and a peak brightness of 4,500 nits, ensuring vibrant visuals and clarity even in bright conditions. Under the hood, the smartphone is expected to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor alongside an Adreno 840 GPU. Additionally, there are indications of a Q3 self-developed gaming chip aimed at enhancing frame stability and supporting high refresh rates in compatible games. On the camera front, the iQOO 15 might boast a remarkable triple camera setup, consisting of a 50MP primary sensor, a 50MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 50MP Sony IMX882 3x periscope telephoto lens, complemented by a 32MP front-facing camera. Battery life is also a highlight, with a substantial 7,000mAh battery expected to support 100W wired fast charging (a slight decrease from the previous year's 120W) and 40W wireless charging capabilities. The device will operate on OriginOS 6 in China and is anticipated to feature a global version with some modifications, running on Android 16. In terms of security and connectivity, the iQOO 15 is likely to include a 3D ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, a USB 3.2 Type-C port for charging, and an IP68/IP69 rating for water and dust resistance. Users can also look forward to a dual speaker setup and enhanced haptic feedback due to a 'large-size motor'. Design-wise, the iQOO 15 is expected to maintain a similar aesthetic to its predecessor, featuring a squiricle camera island with an eye-catching RGB light. Notably, a new red color variant will be introduced this year. In exciting news for fans in India, iQOO has confirmed that the iQOO 15 will make its debut in the country in November. While specific details about the Indian launch remain sparse, it is likely that the model will closely mirror the Chinese version, albeit with an Android-based UI. Observers will be keen to see if the brand addresses concerns over ads and bloatware that were present in the previous iQOO 13 model.
