ASUS ExpertBook Ultra (2026) review: Business-class performance, in a sleek package

For years, business laptops have been synonymous with practicality and sturdiness but have lacked excitement in design. Enter the ASUS ExpertBook Ultra (2026), which breaks the mold by offering a sleek, modern aesthetic combined with powerful performance tailored for enterprise needs. With a price tag of Rs. 2,39,990, the ASUS ExpertBook Ultra (2026) is a standout device. It boasts a stunning Tandem OLED display, an Intel Core Ultra X7 358H processor, and advanced AI features, making it a strong competitor against high-end workstations, including MacBooks. In our two-week usage test, we found the ExpertBook Ultra to be a refreshing change from the typical business laptop. At just 10.9mm thick and weighing only 1.1 kg, it is remarkably portable. The laptop is constructed from Aerospace Grade AZ31B magnesium-aluminium alloy, ensuring both durability and lightweight design. Its nano-ceramic coating gives it a soft, matte finish that resists fingerprints and dust, requiring minimal upkeep. The laptop features a diverse selection of ports, including two Thunderbolt 4 ports, HDMI, USB Type-A, USB Type-C, a microSD card reader, and a headphone jack. A USB-to-LAN adapter is also included in the box for wired connections. The keyboard promises an enjoyable typing experience with 1.5mm key travel, while the touchpad supports smooth navigation with Windows gestures. The 14-inch 3K Tandem OLED display is another highlight. With a variable refresh rate of 120Hz and peak brightness of up to 1400 nits, it delivers vibrant colors and sharp visuals, making it perfect for streaming, photo editing, or simply browsing the web. Although the touch functionality falls short of a 360-degree hinge, the display still provides a premium experience for work or entertainment. Under the hood, the ExpertBook Ultra is powered by an Intel Core Ultra X7 358H processor and Intel Arc Graphics, supporting up to 64GB LPDDR5X RAM and 2TB PCIe Gen 5 NVMe SSD. This robust configuration allows the laptop to handle demanding tasks, from multitasking with several applications to casual gaming without issues. The thermal performance remains commendable, with minimal heating even after hours of continuous use. Battery life is equally impressive, with the 70Wh battery lasting up to 12 hours on a single charge and reaching full capacity in about an hour. In summary, the ASUS ExpertBook Ultra (2026) offers a remarkable blend of elegant design, portability, and high performance. While the lack of a fully functional touchscreen may disappoint some, the overall capabilities of this laptop make it a worthwhile investment for professionals seeking reliability and style in their daily work.
