Google has officially launched Nano Banana Pro, an enhanced version of its acclaimed Nano Banana image model. This new iteration is built on the advanced Gemini 3 Pro architecture and is set to elevate the standards of precision, contextual comprehension, and creative output in image generation. Designed for both casual creators and professionals, Nano Banana Pro enables users to transform ideas, sketches, and data into detailed and accurate visuals within seconds. The model improves upon its predecessor by enhancing text rendering, offering multilingual output, and managing complex scene compositions. Following the positive reception of the original Nano Banana, which enabled users to restore old photos and create quick edits, this new model promises to be the most powerful tool yet for image creation and editing. With its advanced reasoning capabilities and real-world knowledge integration, Nano Banana Pro generates visuals that are not only meaningful but also contextually aware. Users can leverage the model's ability to interpret educational resources, design intricate diagrams, produce culinary guides, and visualize real-time data by integrating information from Google Search. This results in more informative infographics, compelling visual explanations, and image outputs that are current and factually accurate. For instance, the model can create weather-related graphics by accessing live data, or generate educational illustrations rich in data. The tool is also adept at producing images with clear, readable text in multiple languages, facilitating the creation of promotional materials, calligraphy, product prototypes, and branding layouts. Thanks to the multilingual capabilities of Gemini 3, the model can effectively translate and localize text within images while maintaining visual integrity. Nano Banana Pro supports the construction of complex scenes, allowing users to combine up to 14 input images while preserving the identities of as many as five individuals. This capability paves the way for richer fashion editorials, product showcases, cinematic compositions, and even photorealistic 3D imagery. Furthermore, Google has introduced professional-grade creative controls, enabling users to adjust lighting, focus, camera angles, and even switch scenes from day to night while applying color grading or reformatting images for various aspect ratios. Outputs can be exported in high resolutions of 2K and 4K, making them suitable for both print and social media use. Nano Banana Pro is being rolled out across Google's ecosystem, including the Gemini app, Google Search, NotebookLM, Google Ads, Google Workspace, and the Gemini API for developers. Additionally, filmmakers and creative professionals will have access through Google AI Ultra subscribers in Flow, providing precise frame control. In a commitment to responsible AI, Google has implemented measures to watermark AI-generated images with an imperceptible SynthID. Users can also check if an image was produced by Google AI by uploading it to the Gemini app, with plans to extend this feature to audio and video content soon. While a visible watermark will accompany images crafted by free and Pro tier users, Google AI Ultra subscribers and Google AI Studio users will benefit from clean exports for professional applications.
