Is your Porsche Taycan too slow at the Nürbugring? You need this Manthey Kit.

Porsche has long been celebrated for crafting vehicles that excel right from the start. While their models often carry a premium price tag compared to other luxury German brands, the driving experience quickly justifies the investment. However, for enthusiasts who frequent high-performance track days at iconic locations like the Nürburgring Nordschleife, even the remarkable 911 GT3 RS might not meet their precise demands. This is where Manthey Racing comes into play. Situated near the Nürburgring, Manthey is a renowned racing team, predominantly owned by Porsche since 2013, leveraging its extensive racing background to develop upgrade kits that enhance performance significantly. The latest offering from Manthey is aimed at the electric Taycan, specifically the Turbo GT variant introduced by Porsche in 2024. This enhancement requires the Taycan to be equipped with the factory-installed Wiessach package, which reduces weight through the use of carbon fiber components, thinner glass, and a minimalist sound system. With this kit, the Taycan's acceleration from 0-60 mph drops to an impressive 2.1 seconds, a mere fraction quicker than its original performance. The standout achievement, however, came from Porsche's factory driver Lars Kern, who managed to complete a lap of the Nordschleife in just 7 minutes and 7.5 seconds in 2024. The Manthey Kit allowed him to shave an incredible 12 seconds off that time, culminating in a new record lap of 6:55.553. The kit introduces enhanced aerodynamic features, including dramatic body extensions with louvres on the front wheel arches to improve airflow, a larger rear wing, new underbody diffusers, and aerodisc rear wheels. Additionally, the downforce generated can be finely tuned, enabling drivers to optimize their setup for various tracks they might tackle each week.
