Government launches free AI course with certification

The Government of India has launched an impactful digital literacy initiative named 'YUVA AI for ALL', aimed at equipping citizens with essential knowledge about Artificial Intelligence (AI). Spearheaded by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) as part of the IndiaAI Mission, this program is designed to be inclusive, particularly targeting students across the nation. The course is structured into six concise and easy-to-understand modules, allowing participants to learn at their own pace, with an estimated completion time of about four and a half hours. Its content is specifically crafted to help students, working professionals, and inquisitive individuals grasp the fundamental principles of contemporary intelligent systems. Featuring relatable examples from real-world scenarios in India, the lessons emphasize practical applications of AI. A primary objective of this initiative is to empower 1 crore individuals with a foundational understanding of these emerging technologies. The Ministry envisions a reduction in digital inequality while promoting the responsible use of advanced tools, ensuring that the youth and workforce of India are well-prepared for a technology-driven future. Access to the course is seamless, as it is available on major learning platforms like FutureSkills Prime and iGOT Karmayogi, along with various established ed-tech websites. Participants who successfully complete the course will receive an official certificate from the Government of India, validating their grasp of AI fundamentals and enhancing their educational or career opportunities. Additionally, schools, colleges, and universities are encouraged to partner with IndiaAI to further extend the course's reach by integrating it into their educational frameworks. This entirely free initiative represents a significant step toward enhancing India’s digital capabilities and preparing a generation that is ready for the challenges of tomorrow’s technology landscape. For more information on accessing the course, visit the official FutureSkills Prime website.
