OnePlus 13 gets massive discount during Republic Day sale: Should you buy?

In celebration of the 77th Republic Day, OnePlus is launching its Freedom Day sale, featuring substantial discounts on a variety of products. The highlight of this sale is the OnePlus 13, the company's flagship device from 2025, which has recently taken a backseat to the newer OnePlus 15. Originally priced at ₹69,999 for the 12GB RAM and 256GB storage variant, the OnePlus 13 will see a temporary price reduction of ₹8,000 during the sale, which kicks off on January 16. Additionally, customers can enjoy an instant bank discount of up to ₹4,000 with selected cards, bringing the effective price down to ₹57,999. To sweeten the deal, OnePlus is offering a six-month no-cost EMI option along with a pair of OnePlus Nord Buds 3 for those who purchase this flagship model. The OnePlus 13 boasts a stunning 6.82-inch 2K+ LTPO AMOLED display that supports a 120Hz refresh rate and achieves a remarkable peak brightness of 4,500 nits. While it may lack the 165Hz refresh rate found in newer models, it still outshines the OnePlus 15 with its higher resolution display. The screen is enhanced with Dolby Vision support and protected by durable Crystal Shield super ceramic glass. Under the hood, the device is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, complemented by LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage. It runs on OxygenOS 15, based on Android 15, and promises four years of operating system updates alongside six years of security patches. Notably, the OnePlus 13 has already received the OxygenOS 16 update, indicating that users will continue to benefit from software enhancements for years to come. For photography enthusiasts, the OnePlus 13 features a triple camera system fine-tuned by Hasselblad. This includes a 50MP primary sensor with optical image stabilization, a 50MP ultra-wide lens, and a 50MP periscope telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom. The front-facing 32MP camera is perfect for selfies and video calls. Moreover, the smartphone is equipped with a robust 6,000mAh battery that supports 100W SuperVOOC wired charging and 50W wireless charging. Security features include an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor for quick access and an IP68/IP69 rating for water and dust resistance. At a price point of ₹57,999, the OnePlus 13 offers an impressive value proposition, particularly considering the recent surge in smartphone prices due to memory chip shortages. With its exceptional display quality, substantial battery life, rapid charging capabilities, premium build, and powerful performance, the OnePlus 13 remains a strong contender in the market. Plus, it's the last device to feature the Hasselblad camera partnership, making it a unique option for photography lovers.
