Gemini Deep Research comes to Google Finance, backed by prediction market data

Google has unveiled exciting new features on its widely-used Google Finance platform, showcasing its commitment to integrating artificial intelligence into diverse applications. This update builds upon the previous introduction of a Gemini-based chatbot, now enhanced with the addition of Gemini Deep Research. With Gemini Deep Research, users can pose intricate questions and seek insights informed by new betting market data. This functionality, set to roll out over the coming weeks, introduces a specialized Deep Research option within the Finance chatbot. Google asserts that this advanced AI will empower users to generate comprehensive, fully cited research reports on various topics in mere minutes. The experience promises to mirror that of the Gemini app, where users input a prompt and return later to see the findings. While Google recommends utilizing Deep Research for more complex inquiries, simpler questions can be addressed through faster methods available on the platform. Initially, all users will have access to a limited number of Deep Research reports, although precise limits are yet to be detailed. Those subscribed to AI Pro and AI Ultra plans will encounter higher thresholds for report generation. In the Gemini app, for example, free users are restricted to five Deep Research jobs per month, whereas AI Pro subscribers can request up to 20 reports daily, and AI Ultra users can generate a staggering 200 reports per day. Given the time required to create each report, effectively utilizing these limits may pose a challenge for users.
