In the wake of the generative AI surge, businesses are investing heavily in AI technologies but often face hurdles in effective implementation. Unframe, a startup founded just two years ago, has successfully raised $50 million in Series B funding, bringing its total capital to $100 million. The company also reported surpassing $100 million in total contract value within just a year of operations. As organizations transition from experimenting with AI to actual deployment, COO Larissa Schneider highlighted that "identifying the right use case" is a significant challenge. Unframe has developed a comprehensive library of AI tools, which allows for the creation of customized systems that integrate seamlessly with a company’s existing data and internal processes. Various industries have already benefited from Unframe's solutions. For instance, commercial real estate companies utilize its technology to analyze lease documents, while retailers leverage it to optimize promotional strategies. Airlines, too, have improved their crew scheduling through Unframe’s offerings, according to Schneider. The recent funding round was spearheaded by Highland Europe, with support from existing stakeholders such as Bessemer, Craft, TLV, Third Point, Cerca, and Vintage. Unframe’s diverse clientele includes firms from financial services, healthcare, and retail sectors, with notable clients like Cushman & Wakefield, Avison Young, cybersecurity firm Armis, and Swiss publisher NZZ. Unframe allows potential clients to trial its AI solutions at no cost, transitioning to an annual subscription once the systems are implemented. Schneider noted that many clients begin with a single project, which has contributed to an impressive 400% net revenue retention rate, reflecting how much existing customers have increased their spending over time. With approximately 150 employees, Unframe intends to utilize the new funding to bolster its product offerings, enhance customer support, expand its sales teams, and explore new market opportunities. The company is headquartered in Cupertino, with additional offices in Tel Aviv and Berlin. In a competitive landscape for AI adoption, Unframe faces rivals including prebuilt AI service providers, consulting giants like Accenture, and enterprises developing in-house AI solutions. The startup was co-founded by Schneider, CEO Shay Levi, and VP of Research and Development Adi Azarya, all of whom are experienced professionals from the cybersecurity firm Noname, which was acquired by Akamai in 2024 for approximately $450 million. Additionally, the pitch deck used to secure the $50 million investment has been made publicly available, albeit with some slides redacted for privacy.
