Notably, two YouTubers who had purchased devices from the company were contacted by a researcher who highlighted the vulnerability. After attempts to notify Trump Mobile about the issue went unanswered, the YouTubers, Coffeezilla and penguinz0, took to social media to raise awareness. Walker indicated that Trump Mobile is currently assessing whether customers should be informed about the exposure of their personal data, emphasizing the company's commitment to protecting user information.
