Netflix continues to expand its international programming with intriguing offerings from Norway, including the hit series Ragnarok (2020-2023), which masterfully reinterprets Norse mythology for modern audiences over three captivating seasons. One standout feature is the 2022 film Troll, a Norwegian spin on the iconic Godzilla narrative. The streaming giant has just unveiled the trailer for its sequel, Troll 2, which promises to deliver a similar blend of excitement and monster mayhem. It's essential to distinguish this Netflix franchise from the 2010 film Trollhunter, which utilized a found footage style to tell its story. In Trollhunter, a group of college students embarks on a journey into the fjords to document a suspected bear poacher named Hans. However, they soon discover that Hans is on the hunt for trolls, leading them into a perilous adventure that challenges their understanding of folklore and reality.
