On Tuesday, Google Photos unveiled exciting new features designed to simplify video editing and the creation of highlight reels. Among these updates are innovative templates that come equipped with preset music tracks and text overlays, along with a completely redesigned video editing interface. Currently being rolled out on Android devices, the new templates enable users to easily craft professional-looking highlight reels in just a few taps. By selecting a template and choosing their favorite photos and videos, users can rely on Google Photos to automatically generate a video that syncs perfectly with the selected music. Creating highlight reels has never been easier. Users can navigate to the Create tab and select 'Highlight Video' to compile memorable moments from their gallery, whether it's a vacation adventure or a birthday celebration. The newly refined video editor is available on both Android and iOS platforms, boasting a more intuitive design. It features a 'universal timeline' that allows users to view all clips and content seamlessly in one place. Additionally, the 'adaptive canvas' adjusts the editing interface based on user needs or specific project requirements. This upgraded editor, now the default video editing tool on Android, also allows users to blend music and text into a single video clip for enhanced storytelling. Moreover, users can explore a rich music library within Photos to find the perfect soundtrack for their highlight videos, accessible on both Android and iOS. Android users are further empowered with the ability to add personalized text overlays, customizing their videos with new fonts, colors, and backgrounds.
