Kiwibit’s AI-powered bird feeder is my new backyard buddy

This month, the Kiwibit Bird Feeder Pro 4K AI Camera has entered my outdoor space, quickly becoming an essential part of my backyard experience. Setting it up is a breeze, thanks to various mounting options that allow it to be placed on a pole, window ledge, or tree. Its dual seed compartments simplify refills and cleaning, while the integrated solar panel means I won’t be worrying about battery life. The durability and quality of the camera stand out as impressive features. The feeder supports 2.4GHz Wi-Fi and offers cloud storage, along with built-in two-way audio for communication through its microphone and speaker. The 130-degree wide-angle lens offers a broad view of the feathered friends that stop by. Once I installed it and connected it to the Kiwibit app on my phone, the excitement began. The app alerts me whenever a bird visits, allows me to watch recordings, and keeps track of all the avian activity. After a few weeks of using the feeder, the notifications turned into a delightful routine. I eagerly awaited updates on new visitors, and to my surprise, I managed to attract a variety of birds, including a beautiful Northern Cardinal that has become a regular morning sight. At the time of writing, I've recorded six different bird species, and I find myself checking the app daily to see who stopped by. It’s become a point of pride to share the videos with friends and family as if I were showcasing my pets. However, I can't help but chuckle at the notifications labeled “nuisance animal detected” when squirrels decide to raid the birdseed, which is a common occurrence. The Kiwibit app features a proprietary bird-identification algorithm capable of recognizing over 10,000 bird species, including Blue Jays, Ravens, and Mourning Doves. The Activity tab is especially useful, providing insights into the number of visits captured, videos recorded, and total species observed. Users can even browse through a calendar to view activity from specific days. The Birds tab offers detailed descriptions of each species, sourced from Wikipedia. That said, I did notice some inconsistencies with the visit count. For instance, if a House Sparrow lingers in front of the camera for several minutes, the AI might mistakenly log it as multiple visits, even if the bird remains relatively still. In summary, my experience with the Kiwibit Bird Feeder Pro has been nothing short of enjoyable. If you want to connect with nature while having fun cataloging bird species like a game of Pokémon, this smart feeder is definitely worth a try. Just be ready for an influx of curious squirrels as well!
