TikTok has unveiled a new version of its platform, named 'TikTok Pro,' available in Germany, Portugal, and Spain. This innovative app incorporates the 'Sunshine Programme,' designed to facilitate user support for various charitable organizations. Users can accumulate 'virtual sunshine' by inviting friends to join the app and engaging with charity-focused content. Activities such as liking, sharing videos, following charity accounts, and searching for charitable initiatives will help users earn this virtual currency. Once users have collected enough sunshine, they can direct it toward a chosen charity, prompting TikTok to make a corresponding donation to that organization. It's important to note that TikTok Pro offers the same content as the standard TikTok app. However, it distinguishes itself by omitting live-streaming capabilities, shopping features, and advertisements. TikTok aims to create a space where users in Europe can enjoy entertaining content while actively contributing to charitable causes.
