Threads has rolled out a suite of advanced metrics to enhance how users gauge the performance of their posts and discoverability. This update, announced on Tuesday, introduces a more comprehensive 'Insights' dashboard for creators. Within the 'Interactions' area of the dashboard, users can now track engagement metrics such as likes, replies, quotes, and reposts. Additionally, the 'Followers' section provides insights into follower growth, complete with geographic data detailing top cities and countries, along with demographic insights like age and gender. A notable feature is the introduction of a trend chart, allowing users to monitor changes in their post performance over periods ranging from seven to 90 days. Given that eligible Threads posts can be promoted through Instagram and Facebook, users can also view how their content is being encountered across these platforms, including the percentage of views generated by each app. The Meta-owned platform emphasizes that these updates aim to assist creators in expanding their audiences and enhancing their understanding of what content resonates most with followers. This initiative coincides with Threads' rapid growth; recent data from Similarweb indicates that Threads is quickly gaining ground on its primary competitor, X. As of June 2025, Threads' mobile app for both iOS and Android recorded 115.1 million daily active users, marking an impressive year-over-year growth of 127.8%. In contrast, X reported 132 million daily active users but experienced a decline of 15.2% in year-over-year growth. Given this competitive landscape, it’s crucial for Threads to equip its creators with the necessary tools to solidify their presence on the platform.
