This shift occurs even as overall recruitment numbers lag behind pre-pandemic figures. While the demand for engineers has risen, other roles are experiencing a sharper decline. Hiring for design positions has plummeted by 48%, while product management roles have decreased by 39% and marketing positions are down by 36%.
