Tesla has officially launched its inaugural diner Supercharger station in Los Angeles, marking a significant milestone in the company's vision for electric vehicle charging. The concept, which was first hinted at by CEO Elon Musk back in 2018, has finally come to life, showcasing a unique blend of dining and charging facilities. This striking two-story establishment features a steel exterior reminiscent of the futuristic Cybertruck design, embodying a retro-futuristic aesthetic. Equipped with 80 charging stalls, the diner also boasts two impressive 66-foot megascreens that display a mix of short films, full-length movies, and Tesla promotional videos. Open around the clock, the diner serves a variety of classic American comfort foods, including burgers, grilled cheese sandwiches, and milkshakes, catering to both electric vehicle owners and the general public. Visitors have already begun to share their experiences, with many praising the diner’s design and culinary offerings. One patron, Taju, commented, "It's pretty cool. It has a very vintage vibe, but futuristic vibe at the same time." Another visitor, Don, expressed his enthusiasm, stating, "I would bring friends from out of town; they would be very impressed coming to a place like this." Adding to the excitement, Tesla displayed Optimus, their humanoid robot, who entertained guests by serving popcorn and engaging in playful interactions. With the line for food extending around the block less than a day after its opening, the diner has generated significant buzz. Musk has indicated that if this diner proves to be successful, Tesla may consider rolling out similar Supercharger diner stations in other major urban areas, potentially transforming the EV charging experience across the country.
