Tesla India has unveiled its first comprehensive Tesla Center at the Orchid Business Park in Gurugram, marking a significant step in the company’s mission to enhance its physical footprint in the country. This innovative facility combines retail, after-sales service, vehicle delivery, and charging stations, all in one location. Sharad Agarwal, General Manager of Tesla India, emphasized the company's commitment to promoting sustainable energy: "Tesla’s mission is to accelerate the world’s transition to sustainable energy. By opening this all-in-one center in Gurugram, we aim to make electric driving accessible and convenient for everyone in India. Our charging infrastructure is designed to seamlessly integrate into daily life, ensuring a rapid expansion for an enhanced EV experience." Situated in Sector 48, the new center is strategically located to cater to the increasing demand for electric vehicles (EVs) in northern India. Visitors will have the opportunity to engage with Tesla’s groundbreaking technology, experience test drives of the Model Y, access the V4 Supercharging stations, and receive after-sales support—all within a single connected environment. Additionally, the Optimus Gen 2 humanoid robot prototype will be showcased at this center, further highlighting Tesla's commitment to innovation. This launch follows Tesla's rollout in India, which began in July with experience centers in Mumbai and Delhi, alongside the establishment of three charging stations in those cities. The upcoming One Horizon charging site in Gurugram will soon be operational, expanding Tesla's network to four charging stations across India, featuring 16 Superchargers and 10 Destination Chargers. With its Supercharging capabilities, the Model Y can recharge up to 275 kilometers of range in just 15 minutes, making it convenient for users traveling between the Gurugram center and Indira Gandhi International Airport. Tesla boasts a 99.95 percent uptime for its charging network, ensuring reliability for its customers. The Model Y, recognized as the world’s best-selling vehicle for 2023 and 2024, comes with high safety ratings from various global agencies. Prices for the Model Y start at INR 59,89,000, with home charging support included for buyers, and deliveries are expected to commence before the year's end. For those interested in the different trims, the Rear-Wheel Drive variant offers a WLTP range of 500 km and starts at INR 59,89,000, while the Long Range Rear-Wheel Drive variant boasts a range of 661 km, starting at INR 67,89,000.
