Tenable partners with Anthropic to bring agentic AI into cybersecurity operations

Tenable, a leading cybersecurity firm based in the United States, has entered into a strategic partnership with Anthropic, announced on May 21. This collaboration aims to enhance the integration of agentic artificial intelligence into Tenable's exposure management platform, addressing the growing complexity of cyber threats influenced by advanced AI technologies. The partnership is set to bring Claude-powered workflows into Tenable Hexa AI, the company's proprietary AI engine that operates within the Tenable One Exposure Management Platform. According to Tenable, "Tenable Hexa AI is the agentic engine of the Tenable One Exposure Management Platform, designed to convert exposure intelligence into swift, coordinated actions." This innovative platform combines telemetry data, third-party insights, and findings from Tenable Research to assist organizations in identifying, prioritizing, and mitigating cyber risks across various attack surfaces. Mark Thurmond, co-CEO of Tenable, emphasized the urgent need for a new approach: "The volume of exposures is on the rise, and the time from discovery to exploitation is decreasing. That is why we have built a strong partnership with Anthropic." He further noted that the integration of Claude's innovations accelerates their research and development efforts, particularly in enhancing Tenable Hexa AI. This will empower customers to fortify their proactive security measures using agentic workflows. The collaboration will also see Tenable utilizing Anthropic's Claude models to bolster cybersecurity operations, focusing on exposure analysis, remediation orchestration, and risk prioritization within enterprise environments. Jason Clinton, Deputy CISO at Anthropic, remarked, "As AI transforms the cybersecurity landscape, it is essential for organizations to incorporate AI into their security operations. We are thrilled to partner with Tenable to leverage Claude's capabilities, enabling customers to better assess risks, prioritize their responses, and act more swiftly." This announcement comes on the heels of the recent rollout of Tenable Hexa AI to customers, marking a significant step forward in enhancing cybersecurity measures in the face of evolving threats.
