Telegram rolls out checklists, suggested posts, monetisation tools for creators

In a bold move to enhance user engagement and support creators, Telegram has launched an array of innovative features designed to enrich the platform experience. This latest update introduces interactive checklists, subscriber-suggested posts, and new monetization tools, all while ensuring the platform's commitment to user privacy and control. For Telegram Premium users, the introduction of interactive checklists opens up a world of possibilities. Now, users can create these checklists across all chats, including group discussions and personal messages. This feature is particularly useful for coordinating group projects, managing daily tasks, or organizing plans. Users have the power to customize permissions, allowing them to determine who can add or mark items, facilitating seamless real-time collaboration. This feature can easily be accessed through the attachment menu by selecting ‘Checklist.’ Moreover, Telegram is enhancing the relationship between content creators and their followers by enabling subscribers to suggest posts for the channels they engage with. This functionality allows users to propose a variety of content, such as promotional videos, fan art, and product reviews. By tapping the message bar icon while sending messages to a channel, users can submit their suggestions. Creators then have the option to review, modify, and schedule these posts based on their preferences. In an effort to financially support channel owners, Telegram has introduced a feature that allows users to fund these suggested posts using Telegram Stars or Toncoin. Creators will receive their rewards 24 hours after the post is published, and should the post be removed before this period, the contribution will be refunded automatically. Telegram Stars and Toncoin can be acquired through services like Fragment and @PremiumBot, offering alternative payment methods for users who do not use Apple or Google Pay. This suggested post feature not only facilitates content generation but also enhances monetization opportunities for creators. It enables them to crowdsource content, execute affiliate promotions, and earn directly from the platform. While Telegram Stars provide a flexible payment option with potential refunds, Toncoin transactions are definitive, offering creators a more reliable income stream. This update reflects Telegram’s ongoing mission to expand its creator ecosystem while prioritizing user experience and platform integrity.
