Telegram returns to Google Play Store in India, restoring access for Android users
In a significant development for Android users in India, Google has reinstated access to the popular messaging app Telegram. This decision comes after a temporary ban that had been in effect until June 22, 2026. While the ban caused some disruption, many users reported that they were still able to access the platform during this period. Now that the restrictions have been lifted, users can once again download and enjoy Telegram from the Google Play Store. In contrast, as of 10:30 AM, Apple’s App Store continues to list Telegram as unavailable, leaving iOS users in limbo regarding access to the app.
