Tecno has introduced its latest mid-range smartphone, the Tecno POVA Slim 5G, which the company touts as the slimmest phone globally featuring a curved display. This sleek device is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6400 processor and is equipped with a robust 5,160mAh battery, all while maintaining a stylish design. Priced at ₹19,999, the Tecno POVA Slim 5G comes in a single configuration with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. It will be exclusively available on Flipkart starting September 8, and customers can choose from three attractive color options: Sky Blue, Slim White, and Cool Black. The smartphone boasts a 6.78-inch 1.5K 3D curved AMOLED display, offering a refresh rate of 144Hz and a touch sampling rate of 240Hz. To ensure durability, it features Corning Gorilla Glass 7i protection along with Military Grade MIL-STD 810H certification and an IP64 rating for water and dust resistance. Under the hood, the POVA Slim 5G supports 8GB of LPDDR4x RAM and 128GB of UFS 2.2 storage, making it a capable device for multitasking and storage needs. On the photography front, it sports a dual rear camera setup consisting of a 50MP main sensor and a 2MP secondary lens, allowing for 2K video recording. For selfies and video calls, a 13MP front camera is included. With a thickness of just 5.95mm and a weight of 156 grams, the Tecno POVA Slim 5G is slightly thicker than the Tecno Spark Slim concept phone from MWC 2025, which measured 5.75mm. It also surpasses the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge, which is 5.8mm thick and weighs 163 grams. In the competitive smartphone market, Apple is reportedly set to unveil its own slim and lightweight phone, the iPhone 17 Air, at the upcoming "Awe Dropping" event on September 9.
