A coder connected his Whoop to his work calendar to create a leaderboard of coworkers who stressed him out

Imagine having a leaderboard showcasing the coworkers who cause you the most stress. Pankaj Tanwar, a tech worker from Bengaluru, India, has turned that idea into reality using heart-rate data from his Whoop health-tracking device. Tanwar shared his project on LinkedIn and X, explaining how he integrated his Whoop wristband with his work calendar. By analyzing per-minute heart-rate data, he was able to correlate spikes in his heart rate with specific meetings and attendees. "I now have a leaderboard, and I think about it daily," Tanwar remarked in his posts. During a recent meeting, he and his colleagues humorously discussed how draining certain interactions could be. This sparked an idea in Tanwar: What if he could create a system to quantify who stresses him out the most? His shared screenshots, which obscured some details, hinted at the findings from his analysis. Notably, a senior developer seemed to have a calming influence on him, while a growth manager was identified as a significant contributor to his elevated heart rates. When asked about the surprising nature of his findings, Tanwar replied, "To be honest, not really." This unique experiment is part of a growing trend of individuals crafting quirky, niche software tools. Many developers are now utilizing AI coding models to expedite the creation of new applications. Tanwar, who has experience as a software developer, mentioned using Anthropic's Claude Fable 5 and Claude Opus 4.8 in the development of his coworker stress app. In addition to this project, Tanwar has a knack for other unconventional side ventures. His personal website showcases various software creations, including a tool that advises airplane passengers on the best side to sit on to avoid sun exposure, a Chrome extension that prompts users to exclaim "I'm a loser" before accessing social media, and an AI bot that automatically likes his mother's Instagram posts. "I have a lot of silly ideas, some of which are genuinely useful," Tanwar explained. "I mostly create because I find it amusing, and sometimes it ends up addressing my own challenges." Currently, he is also working on a wearable device that will deliver a small shock if he remains seated for too long.
