No POSH complaints found: TCS orders external probe into Nashik row

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) announced on April 17 that it has launched a formal independent investigation into recent incidents at its Nashik facility. The company has appointed external experts and established a board-level oversight committee to uphold transparency and integrity throughout the process. In a statement, TCS's CEO and Managing Director, K Krithivasan, disclosed that the firm has engaged teams from Deloitte and the law firm Trilegal to act as independent counsel for the internal investigation, which will be overseen by Executive Director, President, and Chief Operating Officer, Aarthi Subramanian. The findings from this internal review will be submitted to the oversight committee, chaired by independent director Keki Mistry, for evaluation and potential action. TCS addressed certain inaccuracies reported in the media, clarifying that Nida Khan, often mentioned as an HR manager, actually served as a process associate without any leadership or recruitment responsibilities. The company also refuted claims that its Nashik unit had been shut down, asserting that it remains operational and continues to serve clients. Regarding allegations of misconduct, TCS stated that an initial review of internal systems related to the Nashik facility has not uncovered any complaints filed through its ethics or Prevention of Sexual Harassment (POSH) channels. While further investigations are ongoing, the preliminary findings suggest that no complaints of the nature being alleged have been recorded. The company reaffirmed its commitment to a zero-tolerance policy against coercion or misconduct, emphasizing its dedication to maintaining a safe and dignified workplace for all employees. TCS is fully cooperating with law enforcement to ensure a thorough and transparent investigation that leads to a just resolution.
