A plastic surgeon based in Utah has been cleared of federal charges linked to an alleged scheme involving fraudulent COVID-19 vaccinations. Dr. Michael Kirk Moore Jr. and three associates were previously accused of selling fake vaccination cards for $50 each while reportedly disposing of actual vaccines worth approximately $28,000. The allegations suggested that when parents brought their children for what they believed were legitimate vaccinations, the group would inject saline solutions instead, misleading parents into thinking their kids had received the real vaccines. Over the course of the operation, which spanned from October 2021 to September 2022, the group was said to have wasted a staggering 1,937 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine, including 391 intended for pediatric use, and created false immunization records for these doses. Their alleged activities resulted in nearly $97,000 in profits. The investigation that led to the charges began under the Biden administration, instigated by undercover agents who sought fake vaccination cards. Alongside Moore, the charges also implicated office manager Kari Dee Burgoyne, receptionist Sandra Flores, and neighbor Kristin Jackson Andersen. All four faced charges of conspiracy to defraud the federal government, in addition to charges related to the improper disposal of government property.
