Supertails, a pet care startup based in Bengaluru, has successfully secured $30 million in a recent funding round led by Venturi Partners. This round also saw contributions from Nippon India Alternative Investments, Titan Capital Winners Fund, and existing investors including Fireside Ventures, RPSG Capital Ventures, Sauce VC, and Saama Capital. The newly acquired funds are earmarked for expanding Supertails' comprehensive pet care ecosystem, which includes physical clinics, at-home veterinary services, and the swift delivery of essential pet products throughout urban India. This investment arrives at a pivotal moment as India's pet care market transitions from sporadic purchases and emergency veterinary visits to a more consistent, everyday approach to pet parenting. Vineet Khanna, co-founder of Supertails, emphasized the notable transformation in pet care dynamics within the country: "We’re witnessing a significant shift from mere pet ownership to a more engaged form of pet parenting. Pet parents are increasingly seeking reliable support across nutrition, health, grooming, and daily care decisions. Our goal is to establish a robust infrastructure that encompasses clinics, veterinary services, rapid access to essentials, and personalized advice tailored to individual pets’ life stages." Founded in 2021 by Varun Sadana, Aman Tekriwal, and Khanna, Supertails is dedicated to creating a holistic pet care ecosystem that brings together veterinary clinics, home consultations, grooming services, and fast delivery of pet supplies. To date, the company has launched four clinics and grooming centers in Bengaluru, with plans to extend its reach to additional cities. In addition to its clinics, Supertails has introduced rapid delivery services in Bengaluru, aiming to expand to its top ten target cities soon. Sarvesh Nevatia, managing director at Venturi Partners, remarked on the importance of trust and customer loyalty in the industry. "This evolution in pet care in India is just starting. Supertails’ customer-first strategy, strong execution, and consistent improvement in business metrics truly stand out. We are thrilled about this partnership and believe Supertails is well-positioned to redefine the landscape of pet care in India," he stated. Over the past 24 months, Supertails has reported a fivefold increase in its customer base, alongside improved margins driven by elevated engagement across its various services.
