Warner Bros. has unveiled an exhilarating new trailer for the upcoming film *Supergirl*, featuring Milly Alcock as the titular hero. This release comes ahead of the film's anticipated summer debut, stirring excitement among fans since the first teaser was revealed back in December. In this latest sneak peek, viewers are reintroduced to Alcock’s Supergirl, who made a brief appearance at the conclusion of *Superman*. In that moment, she was seen retrieving her beloved dog, Krypto, still recovering from a wild celebration on a red-sun planet. Unlike her cousin, Supergirl carries the weight of her past, haunted by the destruction of Krypton and the loss of her loved ones. "He sees the good in everyone, while I see the truth," she expresses in the teaser, showcasing her more cynical perspective. As Kara Zor-El turns 23, she optimistically declares it will be her best year yet, though she admits, “not a very high bar to clear.” Despite her reservations, she embraces her role as a superhero. The film’s logline hints at an intense narrative: “When an unexpected and ruthless adversary strikes too close to home, Kara Zor-El, aka Supergirl, reluctantly joins forces with an unlikely companion on an epic, interstellar journey of vengeance and justice.” The cast features Matthias Schoenaerts as Krem, the primary antagonist, alongside Eve Ridley as Ruthye Marye Knoll, the unlikely ally who forms a bond with Supergirl.
