Spotify has rolled out a fresh feature called "Listening Stats," designed to offer users insights into their most-played artists and tracks over the past four weeks. This feature updates every 24 hours, allowing listeners to keep track of their evolving music preferences with daily refreshed data. Available to both free and premium users in more than 60 countries, the new feature provides a curated playlist inspired by the songs users adore or those they may wish to queue up next. Additionally, it presents personalized suggestions based on individual playlists, complete with an option for "More like your top artists/songs." Each week, users can also look forward to special highlights that celebrate their unique listening experiences, from milestones to new discoveries and memorable fan moments. These weekly stats can be easily shared through messaging apps like WhatsApp and social media platforms such as Instagram. In a recent blog post, Spotify emphasized the significance of this feature: "This new capability reveals your top artists and songs from the past four weeks and serves playlists based on your favorites or tracks you might enjoy next. Each week, it also showcases a special highlight that captures what makes your listening experience one-of-a-kind." Unlike Spotify Wrapped, which provides an annual recap of listening habits from the beginning of the year until October or November, the Listening Stats feature offers a more immediate perspective on musical preferences. To access it, users can open the Spotify app or website, tap their profile icon in the upper left corner, and find the "Listening Stats" option. In a competitive landscape, Apple introduced a similar feature called Music Replay last year, delivering monthly insights into user listening habits, while YouTube Music offers Music Recap, summarizing users' top tracks and artists quarterly. This new addition from Spotify emphasizes the platform's commitment to enhancing user engagement and personalization in music consumption.
