SpaceX shares hold steady after three-day rally loses steam

However, on Wednesday, the enthusiasm appeared to wane, resulting in a 5% drop in share value. As of Thursday morning, the stock had risen slightly by 0.3% in premarket activity, indicating a potential rebound. Following its public listing, SpaceX quickly ascended to one of the world's most valuable companies, even surpassing Amazon and briefly overtaking Microsoft in market capitalization. By the close of trading on Wednesday, the company's valuation stood at an impressive $2.52 trillion, just shy of Amazon's. In related corporate news, SpaceX announced the appointment of Roelof Botha, a long-time associate of Elon Musk, to its board of directors. Botha will take on the role of independent director and will also join the audit committee. This move adds him as the eighth member of the board, which Musk leads as chairman, alongside his responsibilities as CEO and technology chief. Musk retains a commanding grip on the company, holding over 82% of the voting rights and shares worth more than $1 trillion. This governance structure limits the influence of external shareholders.
