SpaceX says it can buy Cursor this year for $60 billion or pay $10 billion for 'our work together'

On Tuesday, SpaceX announced a significant development in its partnership with the artificial intelligence startup Cursor. The aerospace giant revealed that it has secured the option to acquire Cursor for an impressive $60 billion later this year. Alternatively, SpaceX has the provision to invest $10 billion for the ongoing collaborative projects between the two companies. In a recent post on X, SpaceX emphasized its commitment to innovation, stating, "SpaceXAI and @cursor_ai are now working closely together to create the world's best coding and knowledge work AI." This collaboration highlights SpaceX's strategic push into the AI sector. Elon Musk, the visionary founder and CEO of SpaceX, previously merged the rocket manufacturing company with his AI venture xAI back in February, a deal he valued at a staggering $1.25 trillion. As the company gears up for a potential initial public offering (IPO), it is anticipated to break records in the financial market. Stay tuned for further updates on this evolving story.
