Sony Interactive Entertainment has introduced its debut wireless speakers, the Pulse Elevate, during the most recent State of Play event. This launch marks a significant expansion of the company's audio accessory range, which already features the Pulse Elite wireless headset and Pulse Explore wireless earbuds. The Pulse Elevate is designed to provide 'studio-inspired' audio quality for users of PlayStation 5, PC, Mac, and PlayStation Portal. At the heart of these speakers are planar magnetic drivers that deliver an authentic sound experience across the entire audible range. Additionally, built-in woofers enhance the low frequencies, offering a rich bass experience. For PlayStation 5 gamers, the integration of Tempest 3D AudioTech ensures that spatial audio cues are accurately positioned, enhancing immersion in gameplay. Moreover, the right speaker comes equipped with a microphone that features AI-driven noise cancellation, aimed at ensuring clear voice communication by filtering out background noise. Connectivity has been prioritized in the Pulse Elevate system. Utilizing PlayStation Link technology, it guarantees ultra-low latency and lossless audio transmission, facilitating seamless connections to PS5, PC, Mac, and PlayStation Portal. Furthermore, its Bluetooth capability allows users to connect two devices simultaneously, enabling in-game audio while streaming music or taking calls from another device. Designed for versatility, the Pulse Elevate functions effectively as both a desktop setup and a portable system, complete with a rechargeable battery and charging docks. Users will have the freedom to customize their audio experience through on-device controls, with additional EQ and microphone settings available on PS5 and PC post-launch. The Pulse Elevate will be launched in two colors: Midnight Black and White, with a global release scheduled for 2026. Notably, the white variant will be available exclusively through PlayStation Direct and select retailers, depending on regional availability. As anticipation builds, gamers are left to wonder which highly-anticipated titles they will enjoy with these innovative speakers, with further details on pricing and release dates expected soon.
