Sony India has officially launched two innovative audio products in its BRAVIA Theatre lineup, aimed at transforming the home listening experience for Indian consumers. These new offerings include the BRAVIA Theatre System 6, a robust 5.1-channel sound system, and the BRAVIA Theatre Bar 6, a sleek 3.1.2-channel soundbar. The BRAVIA Theatre System 6 boasts an impressive output of 1000W, featuring wireless rear speakers and a dedicated subwoofer to create a truly immersive audio environment. Meanwhile, the BRAVIA Theatre Bar 6 incorporates upfiring speakers along with a wireless subwoofer, designed to envelop users in rich, multi-dimensional sound. Both products are compatible with Dolby Atmos and DTS:X technologies, bringing the cinematic audio experience directly into living rooms. According to Sunil Nayyar, Managing Director of Sony India, these products are engineered to deliver an unparalleled audio experience. "With the BRAVIA Theatre System 6 and Bar 6, we are bringing the magic of cinema right to Indian homes," he stated. The systems feature advanced audio technologies such as the Vertical Surround Engine, S-Force PRO Front Surround, and Voice Zoom 3, enabling spatial audio effects and optimized sound quality tailored to the content being played. Both audio systems come equipped with Night and Voice modes, providing customizable listening settings. Users can manage their sound preferences easily through the BRAVIA Connect app or the BRAVIA TV remote, facilitating quick adjustments directly via the television interface. Tomoya Kato, Senior Acoustic Engineer at Sony Corporation, highlighted that these products have been finely tuned to meet local auditory preferences, ensuring deeper bass and clearer dialogue tailored for the Indian market. In a move towards sustainability, Sony has utilized recycled PET bottle fabric in the construction of both devices and reduced plastic in their packaging. Accessibility features are also part of the design, including tactile indicators for visually impaired users and compatibility with screen readers through the BRAVIA Connect app. As for availability, the BRAVIA Theatre Bar 6 is priced at ₹39,990 and will be available starting July 1, 2025. The BRAVIA Theatre System 6, retailing at ₹49,990, will be on sale from July 3, 2025. Both products can be purchased at Sony retail stores, online on the Sony website, leading electronics retailers, and various e-commerce platforms.
