Sonos has officially released the Move 2 speaker in India, priced at ₹49,999. This portable device is engineered for both indoor and outdoor enjoyment, boasting stereo sound and an impressive battery life of up to 24 hours. Building upon its predecessor, the Move 2 features notable enhancements in both hardware and software. The new acoustic design includes dual tweeters for a richer stereo listening experience, complemented by a precision-tuned woofer that delivers improved bass. Users can connect via both Wi-Fi and Bluetooth simultaneously, allowing for versatile audio streaming. Additionally, two Move 2 units can be paired for stereo sound, or they can be integrated within an existing Sonos system. The speaker also includes a USB-C port, which can charge external devices. Sustainability is a key aspect of the Move 2’s design, as it is constructed from recycled plastics and features a replaceable battery. Its packaging is environmentally friendly, avoiding the use of virgin plastics. With an IP56 rating, the Move 2 is built to withstand dust, water splashes, and accidental drops, making it highly durable. The speaker employs automatic Trueplay tuning technology, which adjusts audio output based on the environment, ensuring optimal sound quality. It is available in three stylish colors: Olive, Black, and White. The user interface mirrors that of Sonos' Era lineup, featuring a capacitive volume slider and support for voice controls via Sonos Voice Control and Amazon Alexa. Playback options include the Sonos app, Apple AirPlay 2, and Bluetooth. Rennie Addabbo, Sonos’ General Manager for APAC, highlighted the significance of this launch, stating, “India is one of the fastest-evolving audio markets globally, where portability and design matter just as much as sound quality. With Move 2, we bring a true stereo experience into a beautifully compact and durable form factor that fits seamlessly into how people live—indoors or out—while connecting easily to the wider Sonos ecosystem.” The Move 2 is now available through Sonos' official channels in India.
