SoftBank sells its entire stake in Nvidia for $5.83 billion

In a significant financial move, SoftBank Group announced on Tuesday that it has divested its entire stake in Nvidia, realizing a substantial sum of $5.83 billion. According to the company's earnings report, the sale involved 32.1 million shares of the technology firm, completed in October. Additionally, SoftBank has also reduced its holdings in T-Mobile, generating $9.17 billion from that transaction. Despite these sales, the Japanese conglomerate has seen significant gains through its investments in companies like OpenAI, known for its ChatGPT technology, and PayPay. These strategic investments contributed to a remarkable $19 billion increase in the Vision Fund's value during the fiscal second quarter. Stay tuned for further updates as this story develops.
