OnePlus 15's first review is out even before launch

At the recent Snapdragon Summit, OnePlus unveiled its upcoming flagship device, the OnePlus 15. Despite the phone not being officially available in either the Chinese or global markets, an early review has surfaced, offering a glimpse into its performance capabilities, particularly in gaming and benchmarking. The review, conducted by YouTuber Geekerwan, focuses solely on the performance aspects of the OnePlus 15. According to the findings, the device achieved a single-core benchmark score of 3,836 and a multi-core score of 12,352. These multi-core results surpass not only the existing Android flagships but also Apple's latest chipsets, the A19 and A19 Pro, which power the iPhone 17 series. However, in the single-core category, the OnePlus 15 falls slightly short compared to both the A19 (3,849) and A19 Pro (4,019). When it comes to GPU performance, the OnePlus 15 scored 3,143 on the 3D Mark's Steel Nomad Light benchmark, outperforming the A19 (2,598) and A19 Pro (3,004). Notably, it did not match the GPU performance of MediaTek's newly launched Dimensity 9500. While there's considerable excitement surrounding the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, a wait remains for the actual devices to hit the Indian market to assess their real-world performance. Previous models using the Snapdragon 8 Elite, like the iQOO 13, exhibited some overheating issues during benchmarks. However, this was not a concern with the OnePlus 13, likely due to effective software management by the brand. In addition to its powerful Snapdragon processor, the OnePlus 15 promises a stunning 165Hz display and a refreshed design. The company is moving away from the traditional circular camera module, opting for a square design reminiscent of the OnePlus 13 and several other Oppo models. The anticipation builds as consumers await further details and the official launch date for this innovative smartphone.
