Slate Auto announces repair network, access to Superchargers

Slate Auto, which recently made headlines by unveiling the Slate Truck—a compact electric pickup expected to retail for under $30,000—has taken another significant step in its mission to disrupt the automotive market. The company, which previously operated in stealth mode, is determined to change the game with its innovative approach to vehicle design and service. One of the key challenges for any new vehicle, especially an electric one, is ensuring reliable repair options. Slate has addressed this concern by partnering with RepairPal, granting its customers access to a vast network of over 4,000 service locations across the United States. Jeremy Snyder, Slate's chief commercial officer, emphasized that this collaboration will not only provide peace of mind for Slate owners but will also empower independent service shops to offer enhancements and repairs. Customers will have the opportunity to customize their Slate Trucks with accessories, including a kit that transforms the minimalist pickup into a crossover. While some RepairPal locations will be equipped to service the Slate Truck's high-voltage powertrain, not all will have that capability. In addition to the repair network announcement, Slate Auto revealed that its customers would gain access to the Tesla Supercharger network. This is made possible thanks to the truck's NACS port, which eliminates the need for any adapters. The highly anticipated Slate Truck is set to launch next year, furthering the company's commitment to making electric vehicles accessible and user-friendly.
