Investors back Skye’s AI home screen app for iPhone ahead of launch

Skye, an ambitious new iPhone application currently in private testing, aims to transform how users engage with artificial intelligence on their smartphones. Despite being yet to launch, the app has garnered significant interest from both investors and potential users, with creator Nirav Savjani revealing that tens of thousands have already signed up for the waitlist. Rather than functioning as a traditional app or chatbot, Skye envisions an 'agentic homescreen' for iPhones, utilizing iOS widgets as its primary interface. This innovative approach aims to infuse devices with ambient intelligence, providing tailored insights on various topics, including weather updates, health tips, and contextual information relevant to the user’s daily life. Developed by a small team at Signull Labs, Skye has already attracted attention from investors, securing over $3.58 million in pre-seed funding, as indicated in an SEC filing. This funding round, which concluded in September 2025, highlights a post-money valuation of $19.5 million for the startup. Savjani, who has previously worked with tech giants like Google and Meta, noted the enthusiastic response to Skye’s announcement on social media, where the app's promotional video reached millions of views, and the waitlist grew rapidly. He expressed excitement over the overwhelming interest from both users and investors. While specific launch details remain under wraps, Savjani has hinted that the app will soon be available to the growing waitlist.
